Whistleblowers - Investigating Disclosures Under the Whistleblower's Protection Act 2001 Procedure

Purpose

The purpose of this document is to establish procedures relating to:

  • Making disclosures under the Whistleblowers Protection Act 2001 (Vic);
  • Investigation of disclosed matters; and
  • Protecting people from reprisals because of disclosures.

These procedures adopt (with minimal amendment) the Ombudsman’s suggested model procedures.

Scope

These procedures will apply to, and are binding upon all staff and students of the University.
